Jia Yao

    At CHPIR, Jia (she/her/hers) works on multidisciplinary teams which address a variety of research questions on global and domestic health, ranging from the impact of childhood trauma on medication adherence in Tanzanian adults living with HIV, to identifying United Methodist clergy’s health challenges in North Carolina. Jia develops and maintains databases; analyzes data using statistical approaches; reports analysis findings through tables, figures, and presentations; as well as participates in writing reports for funders and academic papers. She also participates in and helps coordinate a paper-writing group in which people meet regularly to help each other turn research findings on clergy well-being into academic papers, books and presentations.
