Position: Analyst Programmer

Education: MPP, Evaluation & Analytical Methods; 2001, The University of Maryland, Baltimore County. BS, Sociology and Statistics minor; Appalachian State University, Boone, NC.

Summary of Responsibilities: Donna supervises the programming unit staff and provides programming support and data management for all projects.  She programs computer assisted surveys (CAPI), develops and administers web-based data collection systems, creates participant tracking systems, data cleaning processes, and provides data management for domestic and international projects.  She trains staff to use these systems, creates documentation for systems, procedures, and datasets and provides technical support to international and domestic staff in use of survey equipment, participant/survey/equipment tracking systems, and data management.  Donna also provides programming support to the research teams to clean and transforms data to generate files for analysis.  She provides administrative support for the programming unit, including hiring, training and supervision of lower-level staff; developing effort and budget projections for project managers/grant writers, and developing standard operating procedures for the programming unit.

She is also currently learning Kiswahili!
