Job Summary:

Create and manage complex databases using software such as Stata, Microsoft Access and REDCap.  Maintain databases and document variable and changes over time.  Report on data sample characteristics, such as participation and withdrawal status.  Collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams, including consulting with other statisticians, to develop and implement analysis plans.  Analyze data using statistical software such as Stata and SAS.  Complete required reporting for funding agencies.  Develop ways of communicating analysis finding within the team and to disseminate out; create figures, tables and flow charts.  Assist with manuscript writing, including taking the lead on drafting methods and results sections and editing manuscripts.  Participate in dissemination activities such as conference presentations.  Coordinate across team member’s work on grant proposals and writing projects.  Provide consultation to researchers and statisticians.  Perform grant proposal writing and organization.

 

Required Minimum Position Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Biostatistics or closely related field of study and four (4) years of experience as Associate in Research or a related field.  Demonstrated knowledge or experience with STATA; SAS; conducting data analysis with complex, longitudinal data sets without clean data; data set structuring, data cleaning, data manipulation and documentation of these steps; statistical modeling, including statistical inference, longitudinal analyses (generalized estimating equations and mixed models), survival analysis, and cross-sectional analyses (OLS and logistical and Poisson regression modeling); communicating statistical findings through tables, team meetings, conference presentations and journal manuscripts; content knowledge of healthcare and health behaviors; programming statistical software and scientific manuscript preparation and publication.
