    Sara LeGrand, Ph.D. is an Associate Research Professor at the Duke Global Health Institute and the Center for Health Policy and Inequalities Research with a doctoral degree in Health Services Research. Dr. LeGrand has conducted health disparities research for nearly a decade. Her research has focused on HIV and substance abuse prevention interventions, mental health treatment for individuals living with HIV, substance abuse treatment for minority HIV-positive individuals and men who have sex with men at high risk for HIV infection, and peer driven interventions to improve access and retention in HIV care. She is particularly interested in the use of technology-based interventions to improve HIV prevention and care among underserved populations, including minority men who have sex with men, in both domestic and international settings.
