The Southern HIV/AIDS Strategy Initiative (SASI) is an initiative of the Duke Health Justice Clinic and works with a broad-based Steering Committee of HIV advocates and a Duke research team to create data-driven policy solutions to ending AIDS in the US South. SASI’s research is led by a team at the Duke Center for Health Policy and Inequalities Research and is used to create data-driven policy recommendations aimed at securing a federal commitment to fully implement the National HIV/AIDS Strategy in the US South. SASI’s reports are an important resource for advocates, policy makers, and those seeking funding for HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment, and advocacy in the US South.
