Within his role at CHPIR, Taj (he/him/his) will be serving as a Health Care Navigator within the STYLE 2.0 project, where he will help guide young black men who are living with HIV access to healthcare and improve their care continuum outcomes.
His areas of interest include anything under the umbrella of reproductive health, especially sexual health & maternal and child health. During his time in undergrad he served as a peer health educator where he has led programs and presentations on safer sex education and practices for students. He has also done work in advocacy by being apart of a grassroots campaign for reproductive rights, along with collaborating with March of Dimes NC to create events and initiatives that address maternal health disparities.Outside of reproductive health, Taj has worked and volunteered in senior living communities to contribute to the evolution of senior care communities through health and wellness programming.
